A HEART OF FAITH

At Congregational Church of Soquel, we celebrate a Christian faith shaped by the simplicity and power of God's love, made known in Scripture and revealed in the life of Jesus Christ. True to our Congregational tradition, we gather not around a creed but a mutual covenant.

As a "gathered people," we agree to walk, as Jesus taught, in the way of love, a manner of life we hope to share with one another, pass on to our children and grandchildren, and practice among our neighbors in active forms of compassion and community service.

The essential beliefs of historic Christianity contribute to our unity. However, in the non-essentials we celebrate our diversity and practice an open spirit toward one another. Together, we share a heart of faith at the heart of our community. A heart of faith, created in Jesus Christ, rests at the center of our purpose. This is surrounded by four important activities, consisting of worship, service, learning, and friendship.
